Vic Rattlehead Maya, Photoshop, Renderman, ZBrush November 2006
This is my remake of Megadeth's album, 'Killing Is My Business', which came out in 1985, but which this work reflects the remastered album cover which came out in 2002.
This was supposed to be an entry for a competition the band held earlier this year, but I had to delay it to seek employment. Instead of following through with my concept, I decided to just remake the cover instead, and possibly make my idea in the near future.
I tried to stick to the original as much as I could because I find it already a terrific piece of work, but I also changed a few things for good measure, and loosened up on the contrast.
Modeled in Maya, displacement maps in ZBrush, and rendered with RMfM.
